An Environmental and Toxicological Analysis Report has been prepared on our product Perma-Zyme®. This report, prepared by the Civil Engineering Research Foundation/International Institute of Energy Conservation is available for download in Adobe pdf form here.

A January 2003 study commissioned by the Federal Highway Administration to evaluate environmental and toxicological impact shows Perma-Zyme not increasing EPA's RBC chemical levels found in residential soils. The study is continuing to evaluate long-term performance of the product. Results will be posted as soon as available. A copy of the study is available from us by request.

The department of Environmental Protection for the State of Florida recently reaffirmed its acceptance of Fyre-Zyme - our bioremediation product for the cleanup of petroluem-contaminated sites. A copy of the letter is available upon request. Click here for an overview of Fyre-Zyme.

We've added our video showing the simple three-step process to apply Perma-Zyme to your road base. Click here.

We redesigned our site so you can easily find the International Enzyme product for your particular problem or issue. Within each product line, you can also find a product overview, specific uses of the product and a page containing tests and application notes. Also, please check out our FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions about our products. Please feel free to contact us directly as needed. We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

AG-Zyme Product Overview

Just as the finest meal will do nothing for our bodies unless it is digested and converted to a form that can be assimilated into our system, the finest fertilizers are of little value to your plants until they can be assimilated by the roots and plants.

Ag-Zyme serves as the catalyst for increased bacterial activity which digests the fertilizers and minerals in the soil and deliver them to the roots in a form so that they can be assimilated.

Ag-Zyme improves water penetration & increases moisture retention. Develops and maintains micro-organism habitat, decreases plant stress during hot dry periods, increases availability of nutrients to plants.

Benefits of Ag-Zyme

  • IMPROVES PENETRATION AND WATER RETENTION - Ag-Zyme reduces the surface tension of the water and allows it to penetrate more rapidly. As water penetrates it brings more oxygen into the soil.
  • IMPROVES WATER RETENTION - As water penetrates more rapidly, there is less run off and deeper water does not evaporate as rapidly as surface water.
  • AERATES THE SOIL - The oxygen flocculates the soil, (soil actually weighs less per cubic centimeter.)
  • IMPROVES ROOT GROWTH - The above benefits create an environment that causes deeper, healthier roots.
  • INCREASES MICRO-ORGANISMS IN SOIL - The extra oxygen helps support the increase micro-organisms.
  • NEUTRALIZES THE SOIL - The deeper penetration leaches many salts from the root zones and the increased micro-organisms helps to digest other salts.
  • INCREASES CROP YIELD AND IMPROVES UNIFORMITY OF CROP - Healthy soil develops healthy plants which in turn produces a better crop.

Agricultural Application Rate

Ag-Zyme has been prepared in a high strength concentrate. Apply a minimum of one (1) gallon per acre. Ag-Zyme can be added to regular irrigation water or it can be spray applied. When sprayed on the soil there should be an iimmediate application of normal irrigation water. Determine the acreage to be treated and the period of time required for irrigation. Meter Ag-Zyme into the irrigation water equally over the watering period.

Irrigation Applied: Example

Area to be treated 1 Acre Irrigation Time (watering period) 24 hours Ag-Zyme application rate 1 gallon per acre

* Application rate per hour .04 gallons per hour

**To assist in metering the Ag-Zyme into the irrigation water (due to its high concentration), the Ag-Zyme can be pre diluted so it is easier to apply. This may be easier to control, and is usually determined by the user.

Apply Ag-Zyme directly into irrigation water. The amount of irrigation water does not matter. Ag-Zyme needs to be applied equally to the irrigation water throughout the irrigation period, so it reaches all soil being irrigated.

Depending upon soil conditions, Ag-Zyme is applied two times per year. In the case of heavy less permeable clay type soils, additional and/or higher applications may be helpful.

Ground Spraying Rigs

Apply with tractor drawn spray rig. Dilute Ag-Zyme with water so it can be evenly sprayed over the desired area. Remember, one (1) gallon of concentrate treats one acre.

Sprinkler System

Determine area of soil being irrigated and time sprinklers will be running. Use a high pressure metering pump to inject Ag-Zyme into the sprinkler supply water. The calculation for injection rate is similar to that described in the Irrigation example.

DO NOT APPLY AG-ZYME WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER FERTILIZER HAS BEEN APPLIED. PLANTS WILL ASSIMILATE TOO MUCH OF THE FERTILIZER AND BECOME DAMAGED. FERTILIZER CAN BE APPLIED AFTER TEN DAYS OF AG-ZYME. TREATMENT PESTICIDES CAN BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH AG-ZYME.
